Who: Youth in grades 9-12 and group sponsors/leaders.

Where: Camp Bethel, 328 Bethel Road, Fincastle, VA 24090 (13 miles north of Hollins Univ; off Route 11 between Troutville and Buchanan.)

When: Saturday, August 25, 2012, 10:00am-4:00pm

What: Schedule:

10:00am	Arrive, Welcome, Overview: Meet in Camp Bethel's Ark Dining Hall.
10:15	Group Initiatives and Low Ropes Course; Community building led by Camp Bethel's Your Outdoor Classroom Staff. Group initiatives/Low Ropes include cooperative group games and group puzzle/problem-solving with emphasis on communication, trust and teamwork.
12:30pm	LUNCH provided by Camp Bethel in the Ark Dining Hall. Indicate any special dietary restrictions or allergies in your registration
1:00	Presentation of Theme by Chip Gunsten, and introduction to Ecosystem-Experiences.
1:15	Ecosystem-Experiences: 3 Rotations: Stream (water); Forest (macro); Earth (micro). Led by Camp Bethel's Your Outdoor Classroom Staff.
3:00	Presentation by Chip Gunsten and Small Group Reflection. What was your faith experience of today? What does your faith tradition have to say about Creation Care?
4:00	Dismissal
4-5:00	Optional Pool Time at Camp Bethel's Pool (FREE!)

What to bring: Wear clothes for active outdoor experiences; bring water shoes or strap-on sandals for stream study (NO flip-flops or crocs); wear closed-toe shoes for forest time; water bottle; rain jacket or poncho in case of rain; swimsuit and towel if staying for pool time after 4:00.

Join us for a community experience of outdoor, hands-on Interfaith Creation Care: a day of fun, faith, food and finding joy in Creation. Camp Bethel partners with the Roanoke Committee of Interfaith “Spirituality and Ecology” (www.livingwithinnature.org) to host this fun day (rain or shine!) of exploring our call to care for the gift of Creation. Youth from all faith expressions are invited and encouraged to participate. We ask each group to register with at least one adult supervisor. We celebrate the unity of diversity as a gift of Creation.
