SUMMER KITCHEN STAFF AT CAMP BETHEL:
Camp Bethel is looking for ministry-minded individuals to help prepare and serve meals for hundreds of campers this summer! We desire summer kitchen staff who are able serve for all eight weeks of summer camp, June 16 through August 10, plus additional training days during the weeks of June 3-15. Two shifts are available: Monday-Friday 6:00am-1:00pm and Sunday-Friday 1:00-8:00pm. No cooking experience necessary! Kitchen staff must be able to work on their feet for the duration of the shift and provide their own transportation to and from camp each day (on-site housing is not available for kitchen staff). DEPLETED SCHOLARSHIP FUND CREATES URGENT NEED FOR SCHOLARSHIP GIFTS.
Remarkably in 2012, 132 children received “camperships” totaling $30,615 which depleted our Scholarship Fund down to $400 to begin 2013. We are hopeful for generous donors to once again provide “camperships”to ALL needy campers in 2013. Mail checks with memo "Scholarship Fund" or donate at www.campbethelvirginia.org.

Camp Bethel invites you to come walk the grounds, meet other families and the camp staff, check a cabin, and enjoy refreshments in the Ark Dining Hall on Saturday, May 26 from 1:00-4:00. Meet at the Ark at 1:00pm; stay all day and enjoy Memorial Day Weekend free swimming and 8:00pm concert.

19th ANNUAL BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT
FORE! Golfers and sponsors are needed on Wednesday, August 14 at Botetourt Golf Club for our 2013 Golf Tournament and Banquet. Tee off is at 12:45pm. $70 per person includes green fees, cart and dinner at camp ($15 for dinner only); Mulligans sold at the course for $5 each; prizes for best-ofs and door prizes at camp. Assemble your dream-team for a day fun on the greens while supporting the ministries of Camp Bethel. Mark your calendars for this excellent tournament and meal. · Camperships: Camp Bethel allows any camper to attend summer camp regardless of financial need by offering “camperships” to children needing financial assistance. In summer 2011, 132 children received camperships totaling $30,615! Our base fee in 2013 is $270.
· Sponsoring our Golf Tournament directly funds our Summer Camp Ministries! Golf Sponsorship Forms (hole and tournament) are available from your Camp Representative, or our office 540-992-2940; campbetheloffice@gmail.com, or at: www.campbethelvirginia.org/golf.htm.
· Summer Camp Ministries: Help us continue to offer excellent, affordable Experiential Christian Education by donating to our Summer Camp Expenses: Counselors: $225 sponsors a Sr Counselor for 1 week; $110 sponsors a Jr Counselor. Energy: $150 pays electricity & propane for 1 day; $900 covers 6 days of summer camp. Food for all campers (16 meals per week for 8 weeks) costs $1087 daily or $6520 weekly. Insurance: $200 insures one day, and $1200 insures 6 days of summer camp. Swimming Pool: $230 keeps our pool operating safely for one summer week. Crafts, adventure/camping gear, CPR/1st Aid training, etc. $550 = 1 camp week.
